BTS Wins Big at the 2024 Grammy Awards

BTS, the global sensation and the most popular boy band in the world, has won big at the 2024 Grammy Awards, taking home four trophies, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. The group, which consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, has made history as the first Korean act to win these prestigious awards, and the second non-English act after Daft Punk in 2014.

BTS won Album of the Year for their seventh studio album ‘BE’, which was released on November 20, 2023, and featured eight tracks, including the smash hit “Dynamite”, which was also their first English-language single. The album was praised for its authenticity, diversity, and creativity, as it showcased BTS’s personal and musical growth amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The album also topped the charts in over 20 countries, including the US and the UK.

BTS also won Record of the Year for “Butter”, their second English-language single, which was released on May 21, 2023, and became one of the biggest songs of the year. The song broke several records, such as the most streamed song in a single day on Spotify, the most viewed music video in 24 hours on YouTube, and the longest-running number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also featured a remix version with Megan Thee Stallion, who joined BTS on stage to perform it at the Grammy Awards.

BTS also won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Butter”, and Best Music Video for “Dynamite”. The group expressed their joy and gratitude for the awards on their social media accounts. They wrote on Twitter: “We are so honored and thankful for these amazing awards. Thank you to our ARMYs who always support us and love us. Thank you to our family, friends, staff, and everyone who helped us make this dream come true. We love you all.”

BTS is also set to release their eighth studio album ‘LOVE’ on February 14, 2024, which will feature 10 tracks, including their third English-language single “Love Yourself”. The album is expected to be another blockbuster hit for the group, who have already sold over 100 million records worldwide.
